Re: Current State of MCT in Cairo

In light of recent events over the past several months and in particular the recent weeks in Cairo, the North African Division of MCT Corporation wishes to put out the following statement:

The last few months have been trying times for MCT.

The number one-ranked corporation in the world has, like many other corporations and businesses worldwide, undergone some minor restructuring after a series of worldwide catastrophic and devastating events that culminated in August of 2083. Since then, MCT has decided to change how we do business in order to better navigate these turbulent economic and socio-political times. But rest assured,MCT is more than capable of meeting the highest standards one would expect of a triple-A rated corporation of its caliber, even if we are entering a period of “tightening our belt” somewhat. We are also confident in our ability to continue to provide our customers and clients with the best service and services in the world.

With that being said, we feel we must address several nasty rumors that have been circulating about our operations in and around the city of Cairo.

First,is the rumor that MCT has been the target of a coordinated effort by other triple-A-rated corporations. This cannot be farther from the truth. Like many people and businesses, we too felt the sting of recent events. And as previously mentioned, we felt it was necessary to rid ourselves of what our internal accountants felt were money sinks, projects that were overfunded, and general dead weight that did nothing but pull much needed resources and capital from more worthwhile efforts and initiatives. MCT is still the top-rated corporation in the world and our portfolios are still the most robust anywhere.

Second,is that several, priceless artifacts were stolen the MCT-sponsored Museum of Cairo. This is also false. While there was in fact an attempt made several weeks ago, in which there was unfortunate significant damage to the museum, the perpetrators were in fact thwarted in their efforts and the artifacts they attempted to abscond with were immediately recovered. They are now safely secured in new, temporary storage facilities until the damage is repaired. At that time, they will be put back on display he3#@4 *ERROR* for all to enjoy.

Third, the allegations that MCT is harboring known Matrix criminals is also blatantly false. MCT has always been a paragon of law and order, and would never condone such actions.

Fourth,MCT is in no way trying to hinder the business of Lone Star Security Services in Cairo. Like with all of our other corporate brethren, we believe in healthy competition to see who can provide the best service and services; but we draw the line at underhanded, sabotage tactics. MC EH**##$ **ERROR** wins our battle fair and square.

And finally, MCT is not, nor will it ever, engage in reckless magical research and development. Like all our endeavors, be they technological or thaumaturgical, we place the safety of our customers, communities we rEJEhw^G^e@O##H#QW*****ERROR/ERROR/UNAUTHORIZED USER***
