He Who Fights with Monsters RPG and Boardgames on the way from Catalyst Game Labs
Grab some spirit coins, unlock some new essences, and head for the nearest gateway to astral space, because Catalyst Game Labs is partnering with Travis “Shirtaloon” Deverell to bring the bestselling He Who Fights with Monsters litRPG series to your game table.
With twelve epic books already released and a thirteenth soon to come, He Who Fights with Monsters tells how Australian office-supply worker Jason Asano is transported to the world of Pallamustus and quickly learns the ways of becoming an adventurer and fighting the monsters that regularly appear. The books include compelling characters, fast-paced action, and of course a whole host of ways to fight monsters, making them great for tabletop excitement.
Catalyst Game Labs plans to publish a tabletop role-playing game and board game to help players get into the action. The role-playing game will use Catalyst’s Dice Core roleplaying system, modified in a way to allow players to build power as they go from Iron rank to Bronze and beyond, becoming increasingly powerful as they fight. Three books are currently planned–a core rulebook, a monster guide (of course!), and a guide to the world and the societies in it, including the all-important Adventure Society.
The board game is a competitive game where teams of adventurers fight monsters. Set in Greenstone and its surrounding areas, players must balance their resources to train their teams, acquire more gear, and beat the other players to the monsters springing up all over the realm.
